how to get there
Merrepen Festival is easily accessible on sealed bitumen roads and is only 3 hours drive from Darwin driving through the picturesque Daly River Region it is simply stunning!

Drive south from Darwin on the Stuart Highway to Adelaide River and turn right onto Dorat rd, just after the bridge in Adelaide River (where the horserace track is).  Drive along Dorat rd for approximatley 90 kms then turn right onto the Daly River Rd.  Follow this road all the way to the Merrepen Art Centre at Nauiyu.

In the wet season (January – March) access to the community is subject to weather conditions up river.  If there is lots of rain and the river is up the road will be closed for an indefinite period. The way to get in and out of the community is via the waterways much like a mini Venice.
